Do you ever wonder how Kim Kardashian’s skin looks so perfect? Yes a lot of it expensive skincare, probably a lot of chemical peels, but one of the keys to her dewy looking skin is called the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. ($45) I found this at Barney’s and was told that this was the key to the Kardashian skin. Of course that’s not the ONLY product that makes her look so fabulous, but needless to say I WANT THIS. The bottle is ultra fabulous and I’m so all about spray mists ever since I tried them about a year ago. If I’m not carrying an after makeup spray in my purse, then I’m freaking out.
A lot of people also ask me how I keep my makeup on all throughout the day. The key of course is the right products for your skin, (if your skin is oily don’t use foundations that will slosh right off), also primer of course. Anastasia of Beverly Hills has even came out with a Primer for your Lipstick! What will they come out with now? It’s true, primer for all types of makeup is essential, especially in the hot summer sun.
Here is what the bottle looks like of Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. It sells for $45, but I’m sure the price is worth it. I would love to carry this little purple spray bottle in my bag.
Right now I’m using the Smashbox Primer Water, which some people laugh at saying, “Why would you pay almost $40 for a bottle of water?” Well, let me tell you, this stuff stick your makeup to your skin like glue. Shown below, I could see how someone makeup naïve would think this is just an expensive water with a good name attached to it, but Smashbox doesn’t mess around when it comes to primers or powders, sprays, anything that keeps your makeup looking good throughout the day. I really think Smashbox was the first one to come out with the silicone primer that feels so soft on your skin. Smashbox has been my absolute favorite brand, with Anastasia Beverly Hills a quick second. Which is crazy because if you would have asked me my favorite brands a year ago, those probably wouldn’t have made the top 10. But they really have increased the quality of their lines, and really stood out to me in the last 6 months. So kudos to them for really getting my attention, I hope they can keep it!
So when you’re wondering if “Primer Waters, Misters, etc” are worth it, they are! But make sure you’re getting the most bang for your buck. I know drugstore brands have started coming out with Misters, in all honesty I haven’t tried any of them, but I would love to know if they work just as well. For now, it’s worth the extra money for me to have flawless put together makeup all day. And although I haven’t purchased the “Kim Kardashian Glow” product, I hope to soon, because so many people and magazine articles have been raving about this product, I have to try it and see what the fuss is about. And when I do, I will give you all an update.wate If you know of any other water primers, especially the drugstore brands, I would love to know!
