Joan Rivers- We will Miss You

As I sit here and cry I wonder why am I crying about a celebrity? I can’t stand when people do that, Joan Rivers to me was a true iconic legend.  Her work ethic was out of control. At 81 I watched her on E, I watched her documentary a couple weeks ago, I watched  her on QVC and even an interview with Howard Stern last week. On Instagram she did the ice bucket challenge 2 weeks ago! What energy she had, she was so funny. Me & my husband always watched Fashion Police only for her and her jokes. So sad that she will be no more.  You won’t see many posts like this from me but this death  has really shook me to the core.

Life is short, treasure it and live for today. Those were the words Joan taught me to live by.  She is smiling down from heaven right now loving all the press she is getting. RIP. You will be missed! I feel so much sorrow for her daughter Melissa who was truley her best friend.

“The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.”

  1. My heart is heavy too, I loved her unique style of comedy, and how much she enjoyed life. I also love the fact that she didn’t want to look old, even if she felt it, she wasn’t going to look it! My daughter and I loved the episode of Melissa and Joan, where her and Cooper where going around spreading her friends ashes at all the places that he loved…even along the sidewalks. ..even climbing a wall to spread some of the ashes on the grounds, where Judy Garland use to live…the man that lived there told them to get out. LOL! I bought some Joan Rivers jewelry, and I will treasure it always. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, I will miss her too. 🙂
