Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

This is my first Mother’s Day as a new mother! And if you’re completely out of the loop, in case you didn’t know, Mother’s Day AND Father’s Day are right around the corner. These are always the hardest holidays for me to shop for, because my parents are soo difficult when it comes to presents. I rack my brain each year trying to figure out something original and unique, but I always end up buying a pair of shoes or a tie. Boring! So this year we are trying something new.  Shutterfly is a great way to let someone know you care. Graduation season is also coming up, so what will you buy that person that has accomplished something amazing?
Here are a couple ideas:

I love the idea of putting a memorable picture on your cell phone case. Nowadays people are putting cheesy images on their Iphones and Blackberries, so why not give someone a beautiful case with their graduation picture?  Shutterfly offers an Iphone only picture case that will surely remind every time you pick up your phone of that special moment.
My favorite idea is taking a memorable moment such as the one above and putting it on your bedroom wall as a Picture Wall Decal. Take any photo and make it life sized and high quality. Stick it anywhere on a wall and you have a life sized picture.  I want to do this with my baby and take pictures of her and post them all over her wall. I think that is a super cute idea. Probably better for the younger crowd, but still a great gift to give someone. They will have nothing like it!

Another way to spruce up your home is a Canvas Print of one of your favorite pictures. Canvas is the new thing, out with frames and in with a colorful canvas picture.  You can put together one or more then one picture to create a beautiful memory right on a gallery wrapped portrait canvas.  You pick your size, style and of course print. This is something I’m considering giving my Mom for Mother’s Day.  You can even take your children’s artwork and  turn it into black and white or sepia tones. The possibilities are endless.
Another fun idea is a picture puzzle.  Who doesn’t love a good puzzle, especially when there is a good memory underneath. I know my Mom (and my probably my dad) would love this. I haven’t put together a real puzzle in a long time, but it sounds like fun that the whole family can have fun doing. The more detailed the picture, the more fun! Available at Shutterfly for $24.99
These are just a few ideas of of what you can do for your Mom, Dad or whoever is graduating this year. Also works for weddings, birthdays and any other holiday.  Photo Books, Iphone cases and Canvas Prints are just to name some of what Shutterfly has to offer. Visit Shutterfly for fun photo gifts.
