Tommee Tippee is a huge brand name when it comes to feeding and comforting babies. I’ve heard only amazing things about their products, so when I got the chance to review the Closer to Nature Single Electric Breast Pump System, I was so excited. I already have some of their bottles, so I knew this would be the best option for me with my upcoming baby. I decided that breast feeding would be a better option for me at first, although I’m so scared because I’ve heard so many horror stories. I knew I needed something that would make it easier with step by step instructions so I could learn with practice.
“Intuitively designed for easier and more comfortable expressing. Researched and developed by Moms and breastfeeding experts. Unique expressables system lets you express, protect, prepare and feed in one easy system, no transferring, no waste” (Tommee Tippee website) “

The Tommee Tippee Electric Breast Pump has a soft silicone cup that uses massaging ripples to mimic a baby’s natural feeding patterns. The pump has four different suction levels to choose from that allows mom to pick the best level for her comfort and need. It also has massaging ripples designed to mimi a baby’s feeding. The pieces and parts are all easy to assemble and come apart easily to be cleaned in the included sterilization box that doubles for storage. The package comes with everything you need, including a bottle stand, two spare valves, and feeding bottle and breast pads. I love that the bottle attaches to the pump for easy transfer. Just pop the nipple on top of the bottle, and that’s it! No mess, no spill, nothing.
And if you’re as confused as I am about breast feeding and pumps, no worries. The box comes with some of the best instructions I’ve seen, and there’s also a video on the Tommee Tippee website which tells you step by step how to work the pump. My favorite part about the Electric Breast Pump is that it comes with everything you need, they didn’t leave anything out. Buying all these products separately can be expensive and confusing. Now you can buy the Tommee Tippee set for $149 and you’re good to go. I was very happy about how easy it was to set up, and the instructions are nice and simple to understand. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve received products for review that I couldn’t figure out because the assembly was a mess, or there were no instructions.
The sterilization box also proves to be helpful because you won’t have to buy it separately. Just separate the parts, stick them in the box, and pop in the microwaves, and you’re set. The pump also has 4 different suction options, which makes it easy and comfortable for you no matter what. The pump also comes with a feeding bottle with a slow flow teat, a milk storage lid, milk storage pots (although tiny, not sure of their purpose!), breast pads and a very handy box that doubles up as a carry case or storage container for all the bits. The Pump is great for at home, or when you’re traveling and on the go. I can’t wait to try out my Single Breast Pump when my baby comes in December!
Tommee Tippee also launched a new web application, “The Day Baby was Born” a simple way to capture moments of pregnancy and the birth day through the gathering of Facebook posts, a selection of birthday news and facts and the collection precious memories through a pregnancy journal.
