Thank you to BING Social Search for sponsoring my post about social media. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.
So what is Bing? Bing is a search engine that finds and organizes the answers you need so you can make faster, more informed decisions. Did you know that Bing, powered by Microsoft, offers financial rewards just for searching. Whether you are looking up directions to a restaurant, info on your favorite celebrity or searching for the perfect pair of shoes, you can earn points for gift cards to Sephora, Xbox credits or frequent flyer miles bing is also the perfect tool for finding great shopping deals. When you use bing as your main search engine you can earn points towards a shopping spree. All you have to do is search through bing! bing has most popular searches, search trends, and their social search. You can search for videos, images, news, maps, shopping, travel, and you can see your search history.
I started blogging back in 2008, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I love the amazing bloggers I get to talk to and meet, andI get to find so many different creative things to do, along with fabulous sales and coupon codes. Along with that, comes social media. Of course there was first My Space, and then Facebook. I got into Facebook later then most of my friends, but once I really caught on I was hooked. Not only can you talk to all your friends, (and friends from the past) but I also get to connect with companies and PR firms. Companies give your their newest items and exclusive coupon codes directly to your Facebook wall, and it’s all connected into one great online social networking site.
Along with Facebook, I discovered Twitter. At first I really didn’t get the point, not a lot of my friends “Tweet”. But then I discovered the positives in Twitter, such as following companies and celebs, (my favorite) and being able to get your message sent over the internet to millions of people with just one click. I finally found out what hashtags and other quick ways to send people messages via Twitter are all about, and now I’m a huge fan, personally I’ve sent out almost 25K tweets! It also gives you a good way to enter other blog giveaways.
To be honest, I’ve never used BING much, until now. Let’s say you’re looking for a specific item, such as “baby books” I click on the search tab then the shopping tab, and it brings up the pictures and the price right below, so I can scroll through and compare prices and designs. It’s very cool! I’m a huge online shopper, because going to the mall is just a big pain. Why would I get in my car and drive around when I have tons of sales and deals right at my fingertips online? Bing also has a nice app on Facebook called “Bing Social“. How it works is you can see everything your friends have “liked” on Facebook from Bing. I tried this app, and I found a ton of different things that my friends had already chosen as their favorites. Love the idea! This is just one of the many ways social media is really climbing to the top.
So now that I’ve experienced all these fun ways to interact with others all around the world, I don’t know if I could ever go back to no internet, or no social media sites. It’s the fastest easiest way to get the quickest information on any topic possible. And if you’re looking for a great online shopping experience, I highly recommend Bing as a resourceful tool. Happy shopping!
